Clean out your closets, basement and garage all while helping Iowa Humane Alliance. We have accounts at the three locations in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor. There isn't a limit to the number of items you can drop off nor do you need an appointment. You just stop in with your items and include the IHA account number with your donation and you are done! All accepted items will be listed under IHA's account.

Cars for Causes
This program makes it very easy to donate your car, boat, motorcycle or RV to Iowa Humane Alliance. You get a tax receipt for your donation and they even pick up it up for you! Please visit

The Can Shed
Iowa Humane Alliance has set up an account with The Can Shed in Cedar Rapids. If you would like to donate your cans and bottles just let them know they are for Iowa Humane Alliance when you drop them off. Proceeds will be placed on our account. If you prefer, you can drop them off at our clinic building too.

"Spay it Forward"
Once the clinic is open, we will be asking clients to “pay it forward” by “rounding up” their total. All these funds will go into our subsidy fund that will offer further discounts for those unable to meet the low prices offered by the clinic.
Anyone interested in assisting with spay and neuter can donate to the subsidy fund at any time. These funds are used for special circumstances when a pet owner simply can not afford to cover their co-pay for the required surgery. |

“Casual” Friday at Work
Many companies offer casual Friday or “Jeans Day” for employees willing to donate a designated amount (usually $5) to a local non-profit. You could approach your human resources department about this type of fundraiser. If you would like an Iowa Humane Alliance representative speak to your HR Department or give a brief presentation about our organization and mission, please contact Kathleen at kathleen@iowahumanealliance.org. |

Fresh Step Cat Litter & PawPoints
If you use Fresh Step products please consider donating the codes on the package to Iowa Humane Alliance. These codes are collected and can be redeemed for litter or other pet products we would use at the clinic. Fresh Step PawPoint codes should be emailed to kathleen@iowahumanealliance.org. |

Natural Balance Pet Food
If you buy Natural Balance pet food you can help us earn cash for the clinic! All you need to do is save your receipt and clip the UPC code off each bag and donate them to Iowa Humane Alliance. These receipts and codes equal monetary donations to our organization through the Natural Balance Non-Profit Charity Rebate Program. Receipts and UPC codes should be mailed to:
